Regional Program Director

Tabor Children Services, a non-profit family of organizations has specialized in providing critical social services support to children, youth and families throughout the greater Pennsylvania areas for over the past 100 years.  As a premier provider in the child welfare sector, Tabor’s Philadelphia County-based In-home and Adolescent Service program located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia is seeking a Regional Program Director with strategic and operational leadership and responsibility for Philadelphia and surrounding County programs.  

 This individual will have the expertise, innovation and creativity to provide oversight and direction, to build and promote teams, and increase quality of services and delivery for its’ Foster Care, Adoption and Independent Living Services programs. A strong candidate will have knowledge of and experience with transitional planning and transitional housing. Knowledge of and experience with various youth development models such as: strengths-based, culturally responsive and restorative justice are crucial to the advancement of this program. This person must have the ability to implement trauma-informed strategies, and demonstrate an understanding of how to ensure quality learning environments for our youth. 

This senior leadership opportunity will focus on meeting program goals of finding permanency for children, providing temporary services for children who cannot live with their families, and promoting positive youth development.  The position requires the Director to immediately demonstrate the ability to develop in-depth knowledge of each program, operations and business plan.  Working schedule is Monday through Friday, during normal business hours, but will vary according to organizational needs.   

Qualified candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Social Work or closely related field and seven (7) years of management experience along with operations, administration and child welfare experience.  Prior director level management experience is required.  Individual must be able to demonstrate leadership, coaching and relationship management experience with strong demonstrated success managing funder relationships.  Must be able to provide clearance and pre-hire documents according to regulations.
