INTENSIVE FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES SOCIAL WORKER
JOB SUMMARY:
Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS) provides intensive in-home case management to Bucks County Children and Youth families that need support, advocacy and assistance in meeting the needs of their children and with completing their goals. IFSS helps lessen the risk of the child and works toward preventing out of home placement of the children. IFSS assists and motivates families to work on completing their goals that improve the family’s overall wellbeing and safety. IFSS develops a goal plan with each family and advocates for families to ensure the family’s concerns are addressed.
IFSS maintains a caseload of approximately six to eight families and provides face to face contact with the family (one to three times a week). IFSS collaborates with various community providers and helps the family enroll in and/or utilize these resources.
This position requires staff to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. This position is based in the Doylestown Office but does offer staff the flexibility of completing paperwork at home and/or remotely. Working schedule may vary based on departmental need and include flexible hours to work some weeknights occasionally if requested by family. IFSS social workers need to have the correct insurance and to be able to offer transportation to their families as needed.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Human Services or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE:
At least or close to one year experience working in social service, education, health care or related field. Experienced in human services setting preferably with children, families and/or minority populations. Bi-lingual in Spanish is desired.
